hmmm, thinking....that's hard work you know! Where to begin. Well, I lead the most boring of lives tucked
away in a cute little home on the lake. My home is also engulfed by 40 acres of pasture land that is rented out
so cows tend to play a roll in my life as well. Yup, I'm a farm girl, sorta, and a water baby. I love living near
the water. Water has such a soothing sense to it. The best times include laying on the boat docks late at night
listening to the water lap at the shore line and watching the wide expanse of stars in the sky.
Let's see...where to start....
My favorite food in the whole wide world would have to be seafood. when it comes right down to it my last meal
will have to be lobster tail with real butter, a dish of shrimp scampi and a side of seared scallops. Yup, loving the
seafood. When it comes to my drinking addiction it's all about the chocolate milk. A person can't live without
chocolate milk and my addiction is firmly entrenched and I have no desire to go through rehab! Though I also like a
sweet vanilla coffee, creame soda and the occassional Dr Pepper. Something's gotta wake me up after those long
days and a Dr Pepper is just the ticket. I'll take that no ice please :D
Ok, on to other things. Movies are a good place to explore. And I don't mean the computer game but well that's
pretty good too! when it comes to movies you can just call me the Drama Queen. It has been said that someone has
to die for me to like a movie. I don't do action flicks or sci fi flicks. I want something that makes me laugh
and cry, sometimes at the same time. My favorite movie in the whole wide world is Steel Magnolias. It has some
great one liners but also has the whole someone dies thing going on. It would so very closely followed by Beaches and
Up Close and Personal.
My favorite book has to be um hands down Gone with the Wind. I first read it when I was like 11 or 12. I
can't not reread it on a regular basis. However, though I own the movie (I have many items of GWTW fame) I haven't brought
myself to watch it yet. I hear it's one of the best movies ever made but I'm such a fan of the book first that I don't
wanna be disappointed. I also love Forever Amber, She's Come Undone, and I Never Promised You a Rose Garden. All
are older books but their stories grasp me, entertain me, and sometimes even strike a cord in my own soul. Now in books
I do enjoy reading sci fi like Dean Koontz and Stephen King. I also like Nora Roberts and JD Robb. I'm kinda all
around when it comes to books. Generally if someone chose to write it I'll chose to read it.
When it comes to music I'm pretty much a country girl at heart. I'll listen to most anything but rap and techno
but well I'm liking my country. And it doesn't help that there are many hotties making country albums these days!
My favorite song changes on a very regular basis but my all time favorite artist in the world has to be Reba McEntire.
Oh there are many others and I own many CD's and even tapes from the good ole days.
One thing you'll notice as the site grows and you explore more is my love for roses. I think the beauty of a tight
new bud that begins to open to the sun is quite symbolic. Roses come in every color and every size from buds to florabunda.
They have just a couple of petals to more than 50. They have varied scents some strong some light. I just love
roses. Oh, I make time in my life and garden for many different types of flowers but I also have many different types
of roses. And of course each bed is color coded so that it flows.
Mental Defects. Oh, come on you so know we all have them. And let's face it sometimes they are actually kinda
funny! My biggest has to be my OCD. And it can get very interesting. I am an organizer. I can organize
my organizing. You should try it sometime it's very um organizational. Ok, it's also kinda calming to take something
and make order out of chaos. Back in my glory days I had a wonderful friend who had 4 children. Once a week
I would sit in her living room floor and match socks. It was just so relaxing for me. I know you are laughing!
I have also totally rewritten grocery lists at work so that they were better organized and made more sense. Some call
me anal but I prefer to think of myself as super organized woman. Just don't ask me where I put my keys today!
See, I told you mental defects could be funny :D Oh, I'm sure I have others but none near as interesting as my OCD.
I'm sure I'll think of more things to drop in your lap as my brain continues to sometimes function. However, this
list will do for now :D
